Café Roubaix and BH Bicycles

With only 33 days until our opening, I have been busy with organizing orders and shipments for all our in studio product while I am enjoying Ashland, Oregon. One relationship we are very excited about is with BH bicycles. BH bicycles are well know in Europe and in their home country of Spain, but have less exposure in Canada. The company itself was established in 1909 to manufacture firearms, but since the early 1920s, they have been producing bicycles and sponsoring outstanding athletes.

Women's Olympic gold medalist, Julie Bresette, won in London on one of BH's mountain bikes and BH is well represented in the triathlon elite and professional ranks. For the next two years, BH will be supplying the Pro-Continental cycling team Sojasun with Ultralight, G6, and Aerolight bicycles. It goes without saying but, us at Café Roubaix are pretty excited about offering these premium bikes.

All BH bikes purchased at the Café Roubaix Bicycle Studio will be professional fitted to the rider. And with prices ranging from $2,750 for the Shimano 105 equipped Prisma to $14,350 for the Di2/Zipp 808 equipped Aerolight, Café Roubaix will be able to get the right BH for you!

Because, you love to ride!

New Shop Jersey - Coming soon!

Hey fans of Café Roubaix!

Behind the scenes (is there any other scene when you are still setting up?) we have been busy with getting our shop jersey sorted out in time for the opening on 1 March. Behold the new Café Roubaix jersey! Inspired by Mr. Roubaix's Brooklyn Crewing Gum pro squad of the early '70s, we thought it would be appropriate for the shop.

The Café Roubaix jersey will sport modern touches like a racer cut, lightweight modern fabric with SPF 40 protection, and comfortable flat seams. Café Roubaix will carry bib-shorts and shorts that will complement the jersey appropriately. As the cycling teams of old, the shorts and bibs will be basic black. Vive le peloton!
